Salt, sand, sun... your swimwear goes through a thousand adventures. Here's how to help them get through the seasons gently:
-
As soon as possible, rinse your swimsuit in cold water to remove salt, chlorine and sunscreen, which deteriorate the fabric fibers over time. Don't leave your swimsuit wet in a bag all day: this encourages dampness, odors and fabric wear.
-
Instead, hand-wash in cold water with a mild soap, and your swimsuit will thank you. Avoid machine washing, which can damage the fibers.
-
Avoid wringing or rubbing your swimsuit. Beware of the surfaces you siton : rocks, concrete or rough wood can snag the fibers and prematurely wear out your jersey.
-
Air-dry your jersey, preferably away from direct sunlight, to preserve colors and maintain fabric elasticity.
-
Store the jersey in a dry, ventilated environment, away from moisture. Make sure it is completely dry before storing.
- When applying sunscreen, be careful not to get any on the swimsuit, as certain formulas can leave traces and alter the fabric.
These little everyday gestures will make all the difference in keeping your swimsuit looking as good as new!
